One of the most hotly anticipated hotels in Europe this year is Rocco Forte’s Hotel de la Ville, which will debut on May 23 on top of the Spanish Steps in Rome. Occupying a former 18th-century palazzo, the Hotel de la Ville will have a spectacular rooftop bar with sweeping views over the Eternal City. We’ve just received word that Rocco Forte Hotels is spilling the details on the Hotel de la Ville’s signature suites, designed by Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte’s director of design, in collaboration with Italian designer Tommaso Ziffer. Here’s the scoop.
The signature suites are billed as “the most panoramic” in all of Rome. With a furnished outdoor terrace for taking in the sunset, the Canova Suite is decorated with objets d’art to honor its namesake, Antonio Canova, the famous Neoclassical sculptor. Catering to families, the Roma Suite offers two wrap-around terraces. (There is a sofa bed in addition to the king-sized bed.) Rounding out the trio, the Suite de la Ville is the crown jewel, situated on the eighth floor and accessed by private elevator. No doubt this palatial pad, equipped with two large panoramic terraces, will be highly sought after real estate for private parties and film shoots. All three signature suites offer generously sized marble bathrooms, full in-room bars, and personalized services like packing/unpacking.
The Hotel de la Ville is currently promoting a special introductory offer with 30 percent savings on room rates, including daily breakfast and aperitivo on the rooftop bar. Suite guests will also get a complimentary limousine transfer from the airport or train station. Available for travel from May 23, August 31, 2019, starting from €392 (approximately $444).
